Ash Wednesday began with worship, Holy Communion, a liturgy emphasizing our need to repent, and the imposition of ashes that was mixed with the ashes of the Palms we burned on Shrove Tuesday

After the service we went to the Fellowship Hall for a simple meal of beans and cornbread with a discussion on poverty in our city and how we can be in ministry with those in need.

Celebrating Shrove Tuesday with King Cake, Cookie Decorating, and Palm Branch burning! We had a fantastic time and look forward to doing it again next year!

Next year we hope for many more returning their Palm Branches for a bigger fire!
